The contemporary proliferation of objects like furniture appears to me as absurd and sometimes when I am angry I feel that all production of new furniture should be abolished, everywhere. Sometimes I also come to my senses and think that a little reconditioning of an object or two would not hurt. It is with this monologue in my head that I collect and re-work objects that I find in my surroundings. As much as this is an attempt to refrain from the falsely minimalist aesthetic, it is also an excuse to engage in a banal play of composition and joining. Do you have any spare pieces of wood to lend me maybe?
